How long are the sessions ?
The first session is normally 90 minutes. Thereafter the sessions are 60 minutes in length.
Are the sessions confidential ?
Yes - all sessions are strictly confidential. In addition any records are kept in accordance with the Privacy Amendment Act 2000 and any notes taken during the session are securely locked away.
What type of sessions are offered?
I offer the choice of face to face sessions in Sydney, Skype sessions or telephone sessions.
How much do the sessions cost ?
We can discuss my current fees when you call to make an appointment. I do not offer a sliding scale of fees but do offer a 10% discount if you book and prepay in advance for 5 sessions.
Please not that currently counsellors and psychotherapists are not able to offer any Medicare rebates however my fees will generally be equivalent to psychologist fees even after the rebate you receive back from seeing them.
What happens if I need to cancel a session ?
At least 24 hours notice is required in order to avoid a cancellation fee which is normally the full session fee. Emergencies arise from time to time so these will be considered when deciding on whether to charge a cancellation fee.
How can I pay for the session ?
For face to face clients initial payment is by cash at the end of the first session. After that payment can be made by cash or by electronic bank transfer.
For Skype and telephone clients payment is by electronic bank transfer. Electronic bank transfer payments must be received before the session commences.
Please note it can take up to 2 days for the payment to be processed by the banks so the transfer needs to be done 2 days before the session.
When are you available ?
I am only available on certain days which will need to be confirmed when you call to make an appointment. My evening sessions are the most popular and get booked up quickly so you will need to book in advance for these sessions
